A TOWYN pub and restaurant has closed as a member of staff has tested positive for Covid-19.

The Morton Arms, in Sandbank Road, said on social media it had closed as a precaution: “The staff member showed no obvious symptoms before testing positive.

“As a precaution and in accordance with public health guidelines all other members of staff have been told to self isolate and get tested, although none are showing any symptoms. The worker last worked Tuesday but has only just had her results back.

“The member of staff who contracted Covid got tested after being admitted to hospital with a different ailment.

“Track and trace is in use and members of the public who have been in contact with the member of the staff will be contacted by track and trace.”
