A MOTORCYLIST was taken to hospital following a collision with a van near Bala.

Welsh Ambulance Service, Wales Air Ambulance and North Wales Police were called to the incident in the Rhyd Uchaf area of the town just after 2pm on Sunday, September 20.

Two vehicles, a van and a motorbike vehicles were involved in the incident.

Two ambulance crews and an air ambulance were sent to the scene. The person was taken to Wrexham Maelor Hospital by road.

A Welsh Ambulance Service spokesperson said: “We were called at approximately 2.04pm to the Rhyd Uchaf area of Bala to reports of a road traffic collision involving a motorbike and a van.

“We responded with two emergency ambulances and the Wales Air Ambulance.

“One patient was taken by road to the Wrexham Maelor Hospital for further treatment.”

A police spokesperson said: “We received a report of a two vehicle road traffic collision in Frongoch between a motorcycle and a van at 2.03pm on Sunday.

“The rider of the motorbike was taken to Wrexham Maelor Hospital.”
