A ROTARY club has set up a brand-new defibrillator near a city high street.
St Asaph Rotary Club installed the automated external defibrillator (AED) off lower St Asaph High Street, outside the public toilets next to the bowling green.
AEDs are designed to analyse heart rhythm and automatically deliver an electric shock to patients suffering from cardiac arrest. They can increase the chance of survival by up to 70 per cent.
St Asaph Rotary Club president Bob Cotton, St Asaph City Council mayor Cllr Peter Scott and St Asaph Bowling Club chair Peter Hayes attended the erection of the defibrillator.
It is the third defibrillator in the city, with the other two located at The Chippery on Mount Road and outside the city fire station next to the library.
