POLICE have urged residents to make sure their doors are locked after a burglary in St Asaph.

North Wales Police said a 55-inch television, mobile phone and watch were stolen were stolen from a home on Lower Street during the early hours of Monday, September 21.

Police said the thieves entered the property after patio doors were left unlocked overnight.

A police spokesperson tweeted on the North Wales Police Community Safety Central page: "A burglary has occurred in the early hours of Monday morning on Lower Street in St Asaph.

"The suspects gained entry through the rear patio doors that were sadly left insecure.

"A 55inch TV, mobile phone and expensive watch have been stolen.

"Please double check before you go to bed."

The police's The Big Easy campaign advises homeowners to also ensure they have an intruder alarm, avoid hiding spare keys under flowerpots or doormats and have high visibility garden lighting.
