A WALK to explore the history and heritage of Ruthin is planned as part of a Festival of Archaeology.

The walk, to be led by Led by Fiona Gale, a trustee of Clwyd Powis Archaeological Trust and former Denbighshire county archaeologist, will explore the history and heritage of buildings in the town, and guide walkers around key parts of Ruthin's local landscape.

This walk will be easy with mostly level ground surfaces and some uphill sections.

Due to lockdown restrictions, only residents of Denbighshire can attend this walk, and all participants must pre-register for a free ticket to ensure numbers stay beneath the limit of 30 people for outdoor gatherings. The meeting point will be at the car park at Ruthin craft centre, Lon Parcwr, and the walk will start at 1pm.

It is one of a pair of walks led by Fiona as parts pf the Festival.
