HOUSES and cars in Tadley have been reportedly targeted by young people throwing eggs, police have confirmed.
In a tweet, Basingstoke Rural Police said they had received reports of eggs being thrown at people's properties, and assured residents that PCSOs would be patrolling the town.
The tweet read: "We have received reports of eggs being thrown at people's properties in Tadley.
"PCSO Ireland and PCSO Clapham are on duty today and patrolling the Tadley area offering reassurance to the public. 44200420529 crime reference number relates."
A spokesperson for Hampshire Constabulary said: "We can confirm we received a report at 9pm yesterday (October 29) that a group of young people were seen throwing eggs at vehicles in Franklin Avenue, Tadley.
"The incident is currently being looked into."
