A ROTARY club has donated hundreds of pounds to help Rhyl foodbanks provide meals for families in need.
Rhyl Rotary Club said its members voted unanimously to make £300 donations to the King's Storehouse Foodbank and Christchurch Foodbank.
The much-needed funds come amid a 30 per cent rise in demand for the King's Storehouse food parcels over the last six months as a result of economic uncertainty during the coronavirus pandemic.
President John Williams met Wellspring Church Pastor Mark Jones and Reverend Paul Robinson of Christchurch United Reform Church to hand over the cheques.
The donations will be used to provide weekly food parcels of non-perishable items such as tinned meat, vegetables, fruit, bread and cereal.
