The REDEVELOPMENT of Ruthin Castle continues with the launch of a new Tafarn.

Tafarn Y Ddraig [Dragon Tavern] will open in the former banqueting hall on November 12 at 6pm.

Small and large plates will be offered, allowing people for people to mix and match. In addition, there will be a large ‘Sunday Sharer Roast'.

The Tafarn is aimed at the local area with a menu 'steeped' in Welsh cuisine and using local produce.

The new venue means existing jobs will be protected and new employment opportunities will be offered at a time when the hospitality sector has been under threat.

James Cunningham, hotel manager, said: "We are so excited to launch the Tafarn for everyone in Ruthin and Denbighshire. Quality food and value for money are the cornerstone of what we are offering and we hope this will become a must-visit for everyone.”

The Tafarn takes in the large banqueting hall, the bar area and a small snug area.

It also brings back into use some areas that haven’t been open to the public for many years.
