A SMALL group of Travellers who set up camp on a supermarket car park in Ellesmere Port have now departed.
Three caravans had parked up on Asda car park last week.
Despite being served with an eviction notice from Cheshire West and Chester Council they remained at the site.
The unauthorised encampment was in an area at the side of the supercentre.
The council confirmed on Monday that it had requested a court date and a summons to be served to the group "in due course".
However, by yesterday evening (December 1) all the caravans had departed.
Travellers have previously set up camp in the car park, with one such encampment back in 2015.
Earlier this year, an unauthorised encampment was set up in nearby Whitby Park.
