A MASKED man threatened staff at Bargain Booze in Rhyl before making off on foot with a quantity of cash.

The incident happened at the store on Vale Street at about 7.35pm on Wednesday, December 2.

The man is described as 5’7” to 5’8” tall, thin build aged late 20’s to early 30’s.

He was wearing a long dark blue jacket, dark blue jumper or shirt, dark tracksuit bottoms and had a black face mask.

Detective inspector Elfyn Hughes, of North Wales Police, said: “This was a distressing incident for those working in the shop, but thankfully no-one was injured. I am appealing to anyone who was in the vicinity of the store and saw a man matching the description, or who may have been driving past the location with dashcam to contact police.

“Our inquiries are ongoing and we are keen to hear from anyone who believes they have information which may be relevant to the investigation. Officers will be conducting high visibility patrols in the area to provide reassurance to the community.”
