THIS was the terrifying moment a "dangerous offender" from Connah's Quay launched a knife attack on a man in a pub.
Ben Randles, of St Mark’s Avenue, was jailed on Thursday for the incident - which happened in August at the Melrose Inn Pub in Shotton.
Appearing before Mold Crown Court, the 27-year-old was handed an extended sentence of eight years and ten months; comprising a custodial term of five years and four months, as well as an extended licence period of three years and six months.
The Crown Prosecution Service has now released CCTV images to the Leader, in which Randles can be seen attacking victim Lewis Mills.

He told him: "That night you were outside the pub where he was drinking, knowing he would be there.
“You armed yourself in preparation for meeting him.
"He thought, understandably, that you were trying to kill him.
“The photos I have seen of his forehead, finger and thigh are disturbing.
“You pose a high risk of further offending and a very high risk to the public."
