A woman who claims to be the 'highest-earning sex worker' in the world is suing over lost wages due to lockdown restrictions.

US porn star Alice Little is suing the state of Nevada in a bid to force the reopening of brothels amid the COVID-19 pandemic.

The lawsuit comes after the state’s governor, Steve Sisolak, excluded brothels from reopening as part of phase 2 reopening efforts in May, according to reports in US newspaper the New York Post.

The 30-year-old sex worker hit back against the move. In a press release, she said: “The governor’s decision to keep brothels closed is just blatant discrimination against Nevada’s legal sex workers."

Irish-born Little  — who has 106,000 followers on Instagram — worked for the Moonlite BunnyRanch, which closed its doors in March in line with statewide coronavirus lockdown measures.

It's understood she previously pulled in around £1m a year from her high-profile sex work.

She claims sex workers have suffered hardships under the closures in Nevada, which is currently the only state where prostitution is legal.

“Nevada’s governor has unfairly kept the legal brothels closed while allowing other high-contact businesses, such as massage parlors, spas, and salons, to reopen,” wrote Little on a GoFundMe page aiming to raise $50,000 for the lawsuit.

The crowd-funding campaign had amassed more than $8,000 as of Tuesday morning.
