RESIDENTS from Wrexham and Llangollen are among those sent home and reported for breaking covid rules after visiting Snowdonia, police have said.

North Wales Police has reminded residents across the region that exercise under the current restrictions should start and finish from home.

The force's Roads Policing Unit has been undertaking ongoing patrols in partnership with Visit Snowdonia.

In a statement on Wednesday afternoon, a spokesman for the team said: "People have been advised, sent home and reported for summons (visitors from Rhyl, Llangollen, Wrexham, Bolton and West Mids)

"Welsh Government restrictions state exercise should start and finish from home."
