SHE’S helped clients lose weight, overcome their fear of flying and control anxiety via hypnotherapy sessions in the woodland therapy room in her Hampshire home.

Karen Salmon is also credited with curing a client’s fear of needles, helping with loss of confidence and being the reason several people gave up smoking.

Karen Salmon Hypnotherapy is celebrating an interesting first year in business.

Karen told the Daily Echo: “I became interested in Hypnotherapy after experiencing it for myself. I was so blown away by the results of hypnosis that I decided to train, so that I could pass this knowledge on to others. I am constantly delighted by the results.

“ I qualified in December 2019 and opened my business in January 2020 so it’s been an interesting year to start, particularly working in mental health.

“I’ve helped people secure new jobs, lose weight, stop and control anxiety.

“I particularly love working with children and have helped many who have personally written me reviews. It’s so lovely to be able to make a difference.

“I love meeting new people through consultations and working together to achieve fantastic results.”

Karen works from home in a beautiful setting in Botley and offers bespoke therapy plans to suit individual’s needs.

“I’ve always loved working with people so now helping them through difficult times is even better,” she adds.

“Hypnotherapy is good for anyone just to boost confidence and self esteem. This is particularly needed at the moment.”

Karen closed for ten weeks during the first lockdown and is still able to offer online therapy sessions if required. But her large therapy room is perfect for social distancing and hypnotherapy has a zero touch rule.

“It’s been very rewarding to be able to give others the tools they need to feel better. I have great job satisfaction,” says Karen, who is a member of the National Council of Hypnotherapy and is often called upon to give her expertise for organisations including Halo, a local charity focusing on mental health issues and suicide prevention.
