THE founder of a Ruthin-based business has been named as one of the UK's top 100 inspirational female entrepreneurs by Small Business Britain's f:Entrepreneur's '#ialso100' campaign.

In 2005, Rhian Parry MD founded Workplace Worksafe - a business specialising in health and safety equipment which has distributed countless PPE across Denbighshire during the Covid-19 pandemic.

Rhian has recently been recognised alongside 99 female entrepreneurs from across the UK, as part of the campaign’s recognition of the multi-achievements of women that have proved critical to society during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Now in its fourth year, f:Entrepreneur was launched in 2017 to highlight amazing female role models to help and inspire all small businesses, through content, stories and events.

Indeed, Rhian was also recognised for her safety solution award by BSIF in 2019, Womenspire award by Chware teg in 2018.

On being listed in the #ialso100, Rhian said: "I am incredibly honoured to have been selected as one of Top 100 inspirational female entrepreneurs in the UK.

"This award comes at a time when the team and myself have had to work incredibly hard over the last year to keep the business moving forward in these challenging times. To have the business community's recognition at the start of 2021 is a very proud moment for my team and I."

Both f:Entrepreneur and Small Business Britain were founded by Michelle Ovens CBE, who is also the director of Small Business Saturday UK.

She said: “Congratulations to all the inspiring women chosen to join this year’s #ialso100.

“Despite the significant obstacles thrown at them in 2020, female entrepreneurship continues to grow and flourish. We need to continue, and increase, our support for these incredible women and celebrate their success in the face of huge challenges.”
