A MURDER investigation is underway following the death of a man in Minffordd.

North Wales Police have confirmed this evening that one male is currently in custody.

Emergency services, including an air ambulance, were called to the incident at 1.30pm today (March 25).

North Wales Police said: "Further to our earlier statement, we can sadly confirm that we are investigating the murder of a man this afternoon in Minffordd, Penrhyndeudraeth.

"Our thoughts and sympathies are with the family, who are being supported by specially trained officers.

"One man is currently in custody, and there are no ongoing concerns for public safety.

A Welsh Ambulance Service spokesperson said earlier: “We were called shortly after 1.30pm today to an incident in the Minffordd area of Penrhyndeudraeth, and sent two rapid response cars and a Wales Air Ambulance to the scene.”
