CHANGES to prevent vehicles from waiting on two Llangollen roads have been proposed.

In its public notices, Denbighshire Council has proposed to make orders to prohibit the waiting of vehicles during specific times.

These will be at Hall Street and Willow Street.

Exceptions will be provided in the proposed Order to permit waiting in the lengths of road referred to for the purposes of alighting, boarding, loading and unloading, and works of maintenance, repair and the like.

Exceptions will also be provided in the proposed Order to allow vehicles displaying both a Disabled Person’s Badge and a Disabled Person's Parking Disc to wait in the lengths of road specified for a period not exceeding 3 hours (not being a period separated by an interval of less than 1 hour from a previous period of waiting by the same vehicle on the same day).

The schedule would be no waiting at any time at:

Hall Street

North Side : From a point 27m west of the projected westerly kerbline of the unnamed road linking Hall Street to Berwyn Street for a distance of 27m in a westerly direction.

Willow Street

West Side : From the projected southerly kerbline of Hall Street for a distance of 45m in a southerly direction.

East Side : From the projected southerly kerbline of Hall Street for a distance of 51m in a southerly direction.

People wanting to respond to the consultation can do so via an online feedback form.

Those wishing to object to the order can do so either by submitting responses to a questionnaire, to which the proposals relate, using Denbighshire County Council’s website under County Conversation Portal, or by sending a written statement of objection, stating the grounds on which the objection is made to the Head of Legal HR and Democratic Services, Denbighshire County Council, PO Box 62, Ruthin LL15 9AZ, by no later than 21st May 2021.

The substance of any representations the council receives could become available for public inspection.
