THERE is heavy traffic across North Wales with motorists being warned of long delays.

Bank Holiday traffic is building on major routes into and out of North Wales and strong winds and rain is also causing issues.

Traffic reports show that there are long delays and stop-start traffic on A55 North Wales Expressway Eastbound from J23A A548 Dundonald Avenue (Pensarn / Abergele) to J34 A494 Mold Road (Ewloe).

Travel time is around 60 minutes but the bank holiday traffic on the move.

There is also queueing traffic on A5480 Deva Link both ways around the Greyhound Retail Park due to bank holiday shopping traffic and on the M53 Northbound sliproad at the Little Stanney junction.

Traffic Wales tweeted: "Busy afternoon across the network.

"If you're travelling today, please stick to the speed limits, drive to the conditions of the road.
