CHILDREN at a St Asaph-based school are quickly becoming accustomed to their new outdoor area.
Following grants from The National Lottery and the Thomas Howell’s Education Fund, Ysgol Cefn Meiriadog has been able to purchase a variety of new equipment.
Items purchased include a gazebo, a mud kitchen, a sand pit, a role play structure, a damming station and much more.
Headteacher Laura Martin said: “Outdoor Learning is a priority for the school this year and the development of the area has meant that the children’s learning has been further enhanced with a wide selection of activities and tasks.
“The equipment has ensured that staff can develop the children’s knowledge, skills and experiences in all areas of the curriculum through fun and engaging ways.
“The children absolutely love their new Outdoor Area and we can’t wait to see it develop even further.”
The school enlisted the help of Pentagon Play, school playground specialists based in Cheshire, who supported them throughout the process from design to installation.
