DENBIGHSHIRE County Council wishes to make the public aware of an upcoming road closure in the county.

The council has made an Order prohibiting vehicles using that length of Birch Hill Llangollen which extends from its junction with A5 in an easterly direction to its junction with Pen y Coed Road for a distance of approximately 150 metres.

They say the closure is necessary to facilitate a new water connection by Hafren Dyfrdwy.

The signposted alternative route will be via Maesmawr Road and A5. Pedestrian access will be maintained throughout the period of closure.

The Order comes into force on June 7 for an 18 month period or the earlier completion of the works whichever is earliest.

The works are expected to last approximately until June 18.

Anyone wishing to give their thoughts and views on the matter should visit the council website: www.denbighshire.gov.uk for contact details.
