A GOLF RANGE is set to host a unique charity event which will light up the skies of Denbighshire at the end of this month.

There will be a charity golf night like no other held at the North Wales Golf Course and Driving Range in Trefnant, near St Asaph, on Friday, June 25.

In aid of St Kentigern's Hospice, golfers at the range that night will be driving LED night balls into the air.

The event, which is free to spectators, will also see the golf course itself lit up with specialised night golf posts.

A spokesperson for North Wales Golf said: "It's going to be a fun event and we really hope we can attract a decent crowd to help raise as much as possible for St Kentigerns Hospice.

"All the proceeds of the food on the night will be going straight to this fantastic local charity, who do lots of great work within the community and beyond.

"We are now holding a raffle in conjunction with the night golf event, with some great prizes on offer, the main one being a 12-month full membership to a local 18 hole golf course.

"You don't have to attend the event to be in with a chance of winning that and even if you don't win a prize from the raffle, you get the satisfaction of knowing your money has gone to a worthy cause."

A barbecue and a bar will be available at the event, as will musical entertainment.

The golf will start at 10.30pm but the social side of the event will start much earlier at 7pm.

Participating golfers will pay an entry fee and must sign up beforehand, but spectators can enter the event for free.

The spokesperson added: "We already have a good amount of interest but we would always welcome more."

For further information on the event, head to the North Wales Golf course and Driving Range Facebook page.

There, you will also find details on how to enter the raffle and be in with a chance of winning some great prizes whilst also donating money to St Kentigern's in the process.
