DENBIGHSHIRE County Council is undertaking a £800,000 highways surface dressing programme.

As part of its £3m commitment to roads in the county during 2021/22, the Council is undertaking a programme of work starting on July 5 which will last two weeks.

Locations are as follows:

• A541 – Trefnant to Bodfari (30mph to Penpalmant)

• A541 – Blue Hand Corner, Bodfari to Pontruffydd

• A543 – Denbigh to Pentrefoelas Road (county boundary towards Llyn Bran)

• A525 – Ruthin to Llanfair (Ruthin 30mph to Llanfair 30mph)

• A542 – Tai Newyddion to Ponderosa, Llandegla (cattle grid to Ponderosa)

• A539 – Trevor Road Llangollen (Wenffrwd to county boundary)

• Graig Road, Denbigh (Barkers Well to Colomendy)

• Whitchurch Road, Denbigh (St Marcella’s church to 40mph)

• Ffordd Glasdir linkroad, Ruthin

• St Tysilios Church to Abersilio, Llantysilio

• Pont y Cambwll to Ffynnon Beuno junction, Tremeirchion

• Graigfechan to Gatehouse, Llandegla

Councillor Brian Jones, Lead Member for Waste, Transport and the Environment, said: “This surface dressing programme, designed to seal up roads currently in a reasonable condition to stop further deterioration, will benefit a number of locations across Denbighshire.

“Further resurfacing work to improve the condition of our highest priority roads in greatest need will take place this year and details of the roads identified for improvement will be publicised in the near future.

“During this work we will minimise any disruption, and along with the contractor, we would like to thank motorists and residents in advance for their co-operation and understanding and apologise for any inconvenience.”

During the work, traffic will be managed via a convoy system.
