DEMENTIA Friendly Denbigh are encouraging people to get out into nature and to socialise outdoors for their wellbeing.

In partnership with Denbighshire Leisure Community Arts and the Nature for Health project, sessions are being led by bilingual artists Donna Jones and Ticky Lowe.

The sessions, which started on July 9 will take place every other Friday throughout the summer until August 20 at Mount Wood Nature Reserve Denbigh between 10am – 12pm.

The site is accessible and it will be an informal art and walk session and an opportunity for people to learn new skills, meet friends and explore the community.

The sessions will be suitable for people living with dementia or who have limited mobility, but the group would like to welcome all including families.

“This project supports us to socialise, have fun in a safe and understanding environment and regain our confidence after a challenging year.” said Dilwyn Jones, Chair of Dementia Friendly Denbigh’s steering group.

The sessions are free of charge and supported by the Dementia Aware Community led grant from DVSC.

Places are limited so please contact Jo McGregor on 07799 582766 / jo.mcgregor@denbighshireleisure.co.uk for more information.
