MORE than two-thirds of adults in Denbighshire have received two doses of a Covid-19 vaccine, figures reveal. 

Public Health Wales data shows 56,175 people aged 18 and over have been given both doses of a vaccine up to July 11 – 69% of the area's age group.

They make up part of the 69,495 people who have been given at least one jab – 85% of the over-18 population.

Figures on second doses for each age group in Denbighshire show:

  • 18 to 29 – 3,292 administered (25%)
  • 30 to 39 – 3,785 administered (34%)
  • 40 to 49 – 7,247 administered (63%)
  • 50 to 54 – 6,197 administered (84%)
  • 55 to 59 – 6,723 administered (87%)
  • 60 to 64 – 6,166 administered (90%)
  • 65 to 69 – 5,751 administered (93%)
  • 70 to 74 – 6,432 administered (95%)
  • 75 to 79 – 4,606 administered (95%)
  • 80 and over – 5,976 administered (95%)

Across Wales, 1.8 million people have had both doses, 71% of the over-16 population, and 2.3 million (88%) have had at least one dose.

Vaccinations are being given at 546 locations across Wales, including at 360 GP surgeries, 41 vaccination centres and 35 hospitals.
