A PUPIL of St Brigid’s School was recently part of a Wales’ team which competed at the Royal Windsor Horse Show.
Rose Jones, a pupil of the Denbigh-based school, was chosen as a Reserve Rider for the Welsh mounted games team at the competition held between July 1 and 4.
Rose, who is also a member of Flint and Denbigh Pony Club, was joined by her trusted Pony sidekick Jay for the competition.
Competing against England, Scotland, Northern Ireland and a mixed nations team, the Welsh team rode brilliantly over the four days and won in an explosive hard fought final in front of Her Majesty, The Queen.
Rose’s mum Jenny Jones said: “It was a very special week and an honour to be selected to be as part of the Welsh team at this prestigious event.”
