CHARLOTTE Dawson is one of the increasing number of celebrities to extol the virtues of a holiday in north and mid Wales.

In recent weeks, Russell Brand, Carol Vorderman and John Bishop have visited the region.

Carol, who was brought up in Rhyl and Prestatyn, posted several photos on Instagram from her break in Pembrokeshire.

And, this summer, daughter of the late legendary funnyman Les Dawson said she and her family had a 'beltin' time in Wales.

She was holidaying in the Porthmadog and Portmeirion area with her partner, former England rugby player Matt Sarsfield.

Like many people, they chose to enjoy a staycation in the UK rather than travel abroad this year.

She posted: "What a lovely bloody time we had, our first family holiday, we haven’t had chance to get abroad yet but you could be with how beautiful this place is!!

"Special times, amazing & precious memories."

Charlotte, from Manchester, has a showbiz career in her own right and regular updates her 1.3m Instagram followers about her career and family.

She appeared on reality show Ex On The Beach in 2016 as well as E4's Celebs Go Dating.

They were staying at the Haven site Greenacres in Morfa Bychan.

The family celebrated baby Noah turning six months old during the holiday.

Charlotte also shared photos and video of him enjoying his first experience of a sandy beach.

She posted: "Love seeing my little man smile like this.

"Making the best memories."

In one of the most liked posts, Charlotte posted a photo of her tattoo in memory of her dad - suffering the effects of a day in the Welsh sunshine.

She said: "Burnt my dad's head at Haven, didn't I? Always makes me giggle when I get sunburnt on him. Hope it wasn’t too sore - he looks fewmin!"
