CORWEN Football Club held a minutes silence last night in tribute to a former goalkeeper killed in a crash earlier this year.
Joshua Atkin (below), who was from the Saltney area, played as a goalkeeper for Corwen as well as for the likes of Saltney Town, Connah's Quay and Buckley Town down the years.

He died following a collision on the A483 in Wrexham on Sunday, March 28.
Following his death, Corwen FC chairman Martin Lyons hailed Joshua as a 'larger than life character' who 'had time for absolutely everyone'.
And despite being at Corwen FC for less than a year, he had become a big part of it - even helping out with coaching the under 15's side.
A minutes silence in Joshua's memory was held ahead of the club's home match against Chirk AAA on Wednesday, August 4.
The Ardal North East match resulted in a 5-0 win for the visitors, with Mathew Thomas bagging a hat-trick and Jack Edwards and Lewis Clamp scoring one apiece.
