ROYAL Welsh Corps of Drums Association set the beat at Telford Inn in Trevor.

The association, formed in Juy, 2019, is made up of former and serving members of 3 Royal Welsh, alongside some ex cadets and civilian musicians.

Their latest engagement was at the Telford Inn, next to the Froncysyllte Aqueduct, where the pubic were invited to listen and have go.

The associatin said: "Thank you to the Telford Inn for having us on Saturday. We raised a total of £220. Thank you for all donations."

A fundraising page has been set up to support the association following lockdown.

They said: "Like many musical groups, the pandemic has been a very difficult time. We haven’t been able to play or socialise together, or share our music with others like we all love to do.

"That said, these last few months have been a turning point. We have had so many bookings and jobs coming at us we are excited for what the future holds for the corps of drums. But, we still need you all! We are always looking for members to pass on our knowledge and share in our experiences. With no experience required!!

"We are always looking for donations and sponsorship too, so, if you think you could sponsor or donate, please get in touch! We greatly appreciate it."
