FLINT Town United and The New Saints (TNS) continued their perfect starts to the 21/22 JD Cymru Premier season.

Following victories for both clubs over the weekend, they have both won three games out of three so far during the new campaign.

Flint left it very late to secure their win Aberystwyth Town at home.

Alex Jones’ 94th minute goal ensured that the Silkmen stayed top of the JD Cymru Premier table for now.

Neil Gibson’s side has made a number of great signings over the summer - including the 20/21 top-flight Player of the Season Michael Wilde from champions Connah’s Quay.

Elsewhere, The Saints also claimed a narrow 1-0 victory away at Haverfordwest County.

A goal from Jordan Williams just before half time made sure that they stayed in second place in the league.

Meanwhile, Colin Caton’s Bala Town continue their search for a win after their 0-0 draw at home to Cardiff Met Uni made it three draws on the bounce for them this season.

And it’s the same story also for Penybont, who held the reigning champions Connah’s Quay to a 1-1 draw.

Lewis Harling fired Bont in front on 20mins before Byron Harrison equalised ten minutes later for Andy Morrison’s Nomads.

Finally, Barry Town United moved up to fourth in the table after coming from 1-0 down at Cefn Druids.

George Harry put The Ancients ahead on the half-hour mark before Barry talisman Kayne McLaggon made it 1-1 before half time.

The visitors then scored three in the last 15 minutes of the tie to ensure what was eventually an emphatic victory.

Clayton Green scored before McLaggon netted again and Green scored once more in stoppage time to hand Barry Town a 4-1 victory.
