THE RUTHIN 5K returned last week - after being on hold for nearly two years.

On the evening of Wednesday, September 8, nearly 100 people took part in the hugely popular event organised by Bespoke Fitness.

The race was a great success, with a strong finish from three runners leading the pack, David Morris (South Cheshire Harriers) Ryan Davis (Wrexham AC) and Gwion Roberts (Merionydd Running Club) all sprinting towards the end with David taking the plaudits, Ryan in a close second and Gwion Third.

The females where on fire as well, with Ella Davis (Wrexham AC) coming in a strong first place, Helen Davies (Wrecsam Tri) second place and Helen Muray (Knutsford tri club) in third place.

Six Denbigh Harriers also ran the Ruthin 5K and all enjoyed very strong runs with great results.
