THERE aren't many football club's whose owner can be seen facing off against The Rock and Wonder Woman in a fight scene.

But this is the reality these days for Wrexham AFC, and co-owner Ryan Reynolds forthcoming action comedy is set to be Netflix's biggest ever film.

Red Notice is an upcoming action comedy film written and directed by Rawson Marshall Thurber.

It stars a heavyweight trio of box office stars: Dwayne Johnson, Ryan Reynolds, and Gal Gadot.

This marks the third collaboration between Johnson and Thurber after Central Intelligence (2016) and Skyscraper (2018).

Netflix describes it as: "An Interpol-issued Red Notice is a global alert to hunt and capture the world’s most wanted. But when a daring heist brings together the FBI’s top profiler (Johnson) and two rival criminals (Gadot, Reynolds), there’s no telling what will happen."

It is the second action comedy release of 2021 for Ryan, whose film Free Guy is one of the biggest post-lockdown cinema hits

The Canadian superstar is perhaps best known for his role as Deadpool.

Originally set for the cinema, Netflix acquired the distribution rights to Red Notice and it is set to be released on the platform on November 12.

Johnson, who will soon be taking on his own comic book role as DC's Black Adam, described it as the platform's biggest movie ever.

He tweeted: "Netlfix’s biggest movie ever… and most FUN!"

Netflix shared a video clip from the film, a hilarious fight scene involving the action hero stars.

It tweeted: "It’s Gal Gadot vs. Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson and Ryan Reynolds in the kick-ass fight scene of your dreams. "

Ryan completed the takeover of Wrexham AFC in partnership with It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia creator Rob McElhenney in February this year.
