BRITANNIA Wrestling Promotions (BWP) wrestlers are set to return to the squared circle after a two-year absence next month as they bring the action to Denbigh.

Due to the ongoing effects of the Covid-19 pandemic, the company had to put entertaining its die hard fans on hold for that period of time.

That will change on Saturday, October 16 however as some of the finest wrestlers in the UK will return to the ring in a thrilling spectacle scheduled for Denbigh Town Hall.

And to add to the excitement of BWP’s return, a true legend of the wrestling scene is booked in to fight on the night of the event dubbed ‘Gods and Monsters’.

International wrestling superstar Doug Williams will come out of retirement to star on the card in Denbigh.

Williams, who has held some of the most prestigious titles in the world during a glistening career - including in Japan and the USA - will take on former World Catchweight champion Dylan Roberts.

In a match dubbed ‘Battle of Britain’, Williams will represent England and fan favourite Roberts will fight on behalf of Wales.

It promises to be a night to remember in Denbigh as wrestling returns to the area, much to the delight of its devoted followers.

North Wales Wrestling Dojo trainer and former Welsh Champion Ry Lloyd stated; ``We’re hugely excited to have such pedigree as Doug Williams here in North Wales, he’ll be an inspiration to young Welsh wrestlers”.

Doors open at 6:30pm and tickets are available from the Britannia Wrestling Promotions website.
