A JOINT-initiative has been helping keep youngsters away from crime and anti-social behaviour in Denbighshire.

Denbighshire Youth Services, supported by their local Neighbourhood Policing Team, have been providing activities to young people in the Corwen area.

A statement posted on North Wales Police's Conwy and Denbigh Rural page read: "Members of the Neighbourhood Policing Team are continuing to assist Denbighshire Youth Services as they provide activities for youngsters in the Clawdd Poncen area of Corwen to divert them away from crime and anti-social behaviour.

"Another well attended session last night despite the rain #Partnerships."

Denbighshire Youth Services, part of Denbighshire County Council's services, supports young people aged 11 to 25 years, providing both universal and targeted interventions.

It provides a county-wide service using a variety of methods to engage with children and young people such as, centre based provisions run through youth centres and community buildings and outreach and street based projects including street games.

They offer bespoke education packages throughout alternative education programmes, including onsite and offsite delivering of accredited courses, qualifications and skill based development projects.

They support young people in crisis or who are experiencing more challenging times in their lives through its 1-1 support service.
