A PERSON was taken to hospital following a collision between a lorry and a 4x4 on a road leading to Bala. 

The incident took place on the B4501 between the A5 and A4212 Bala on Monday morning (October 4).

The Welsh Ambulance Service confirmed they were in attendance and sent one resource.

They also confirmed that they took a patient to Wrexham Maelor Hospital.

A statement from North Wales Police added: "We were called at 10.05am this morning to reports of a two-vehicle road traffic collision on the B4501 in Bala, between the A5 and A4212, involving a 4x4 and a HGV.

"The road has closed in both directions while officers and Highways work to clear the area and await recovery of both vehicles.

"Please avoid the area for the time being and take alternative routes where possible."

The vehicles have since been recovered and the road re-opened just before 2pm.
