FOLLOWING an election involving both teachers and Year 13 pupils, a Bala school has selected its new Prefects for 2021.

The following have been chosen for the roles at Ysgol Godre'r Berwyn School for next academic year:

Gweno Jarman from Lanuwchllyn is the head pupil.

She is studying Geography, Business and Agriculture and her intentions are to go onto study Agriculture at Aberystwyth University.

Gweno likes to play rugby and enjoys spending time on the farm.

Tudur Uwchllyn is the school's second head pupil and he is also from Llanuchllyn.

He studies Business, Geography and Mathematics and hopes to go on to study engineering at university.

One of Berwyn's deputy head pupils is Nel Llewelyn, who is also from Llanuwchllyn.

Chemistry, Biology and Mathematics are her chosen subjects and she hoes to go on to study Medicine next year.

In her spare time, Nel enjoys riding horses and competes regularly in that field.

Last but not least is fellow deputy head pupil Math Thomas, who is from Ryduchaf.

His subjects at school are Agriculture, Biology and PE.

Much like Gweno, Math enjoys spending time on the farm and playing rugby.

A spokesperson for the school said: "Congratulations to all of the head pupils chosen, they have a very busy but memorable year ahead of them."
