MORE than 2,200 new Covid-19 cases have been confirmed in Wales.
Public Health Wales figures released on Wednesday (October 13) report that 2,266 new cases were recorded in the latest 24-hour period.
Of those, 531 cases were in North Wales.
Wrexham had the most new cases of the virus -128.
The new cases of covid in North Wales can be broken down to:
- Wrexham 128
- Gwynedd 108
- Denbighshire 95
- Flintshire 77
- Conwy 76
- Anglesey 47
Sadly, a further four people have died in Wales in the latest 24-hour period having tested positive for Covid-19 in the last 28 days. 5,978 people in Wales have died after a positive test since the start of the pandemic.
2,231,804 people have now had two doses of a coronavirus vaccine.
The seven-day rolling infection rate in Wales as a whole is now 522.9 cases per 100,000 people. The rate in all North Wales counties is below this, but all are above 400 per 100k.
