RESIDENTS are being invited to put forward their ideas and help shape the future of a Denbighshire town.

An exhibition will take place in the coming weeks about future aspirations of Ruthin.

A ‘Ruthin Future’ exhibition will be taking place in The Old Courthouse (formerly Natwest) between Saturday, October 23 and Sunday, November 7 between 10am and 4pm each day (including weekends).

It is being organised by Ruthin Town Council for local residents, businesses and visitors to have the opportunity to come and find out about some ambitions for the town, including proposals for the levelling up fund, tree planting, events etc and give feedback and their thoughts on these projects.

But, most importantly, the event will provide the opportunity for local people to share what they would like to see.

Ruthin Mayor Councillor Heather Williams said: "I would like to invite local residents, businesses and visitors to pop by to see what aspirations there are for Ruthin, but also, more importantly share their ideas, suggestions and visions for the Town."

The exhibition will also include a feature on how Ruthin can help reverse climate change, linking in with the COP 26 and other events happening in the town during this period.

Cllr Williams added: "Ruthin has a busy few months ahead with the artisan market and Christmas Fair in a few weeks’ time, and hopefully an opportunity to support local businesses in the town."

Ruthin calendars with photographs of the town are now available at £5 each from Elfair, State of Distress, Cut and Curl, Castle Bell, Ruthin Decor, Ruthin Post Office and The Old Courthouse with all funds raised going towards the Mayor’s chosen charities; local branches of Mind, Cancer Research, and Ruthin Food Bank.
