More than four in five adults in Denbighshire have received two doses of a Covid-19 vaccine, figures reveal.
Public Health Wales data shows 68,365 people aged 18 and over have been given both doses of a vaccine up to October 17 – 84% of the area's adults.
They make up part of the 71,449 people who have been given at least one jab – 87% of the over-18 population.
Figures also show 1,519 16 and 17-year-olds in Denbighshire (68% of the age group) and 935 12 to 15-year-olds (18%) had received a first dose by then.
The data on second doses for each age group in the area shows:
- 16 to 17 – 497 administered (22%)
- 18 to 29 – 9,018 administered (68%)
- 30 to 39 – 7,757 administered (68%)
- 40 to 49 – 9,276 administered (80%)
- 50 to 54 – 6,478 administered (88%)
- 55 to 59 – 6,896 administered (90%)
- 60 to 64 – 6,274 administered (92%)
- 65 to 69 – 5,784 administered (94%)
- 70 to 74 – 6,435 administered (96%)
- 75 to 79 – 4,588 administered (96%)
- 80 and over – 5,859 administered (96%)
Across Wales, 2.2 million people have had both doses, 86% of the over-16 population, and 2.4 million (93%) have had at least one dose.
The rates have been updated using recently released 2020 mid-year population estimates from the Office for National Statistics.
