THERE have been more than 2,200 new cases of coronavirus recorded in Wales.
In the latest update from Public Health Wales on Thursday, it was reported that 2,295 people have tested positive for the virus in the last 24 hour period.
Sadly, nine people died after a positive test during the same period, taking the total deaths in Wales to 6,377
Of these new cases, 538 were in North Wales.
The new cases in North Wales can be broken down to:
- Gwynedd - 142
- Flintshire - 105
- Wrexham - 88
- Anglesey - 69
- Conwy - 68
- Denbighshire - 66
In Wales as a whole, the seven-day rolling infection rate is now 499.9 cases per 100,000 members of the population.
In North Wales, both Gwynedd and Wrexham are above the national average.

- Gwynedd - 854.2
- Wrexham - 568.9
- Flintshire - 487.5
- Anglesey - 479.7
- Denbighshire - 479.6
- Conwy - 380.5
