ALL SP Manweb customers in North Wales, who were affected by power outages caused by Storm Arwen, have now had their supplies restored.

SP Energy Networks, part of the same firm, said wind speeds of over 90mph 'caused some of the worst damage experienced in over 15 years' across the region.

They said that around 200 of the worst affected properties were in the Dee Valley South area.

The damage caused by the storm, which hit the region on Friday November 26, left hundreds of homes in North Wales without power for several days.

However, power has now been restored for all North Wales SP Manweb customers.

In a statement released on Wednesday evening, December 1, the company said: "We can confirm that every one of our customers affected by power outages caused by Storm Arwen have now had their supplies restored.

"We apologise again to everyone affected by the damage to the power network caused by the storm, which saw winds in excess of 90mph in places, and we appreciate everyone’s patience and support while our teams worked hard amid challenging conditions to restore supplies both quickly and safely."
