VOLUNTEERS in Denbigh once again produced the goods over the festive period.
For over a decade, Iona Thomas and Lilian Jones have been providing festive cheer for people who are on their own on Christmas Day.
Iona and Lilian said: "Once again on Christmas Eve we successfully delivered 71 meals to folk who were on their own on Christmas Day.
"Our thanks go to the numerous people who helped in so many ways to make this possible.
"Let’s hope that next year it may be possible for everyone to gather together for a meal in our church hall at St Thomas’ (Church)."
Sue Muse at the Glass Onion Cafe cooked all of the dinners, with the turkeys being supplied by Jones the butchers in Denbigh and Eat Your Greens donated the vegetables for the meals.
Full Christmas meals with microwave instructions were delivered to towns and villages all around the Vale of Clwyd, by more than 20 drivers.
People were also provided with crackers and serviettes, which were given by pupils at Ysgol Brynhyfryd, in Ruthin.
Christmas cards were made by pupils at Myddelton College, Ysgol Twm o'r Nant and Ysgol Frongoch, while the Chocolate Shop supplied chocolate brownies and volunteers made mince pies.
Also in the Christmas bags was a £5 Co-op voucher.
