AN APPEAL for information has been launched by police after a dog was stolen from Bala.
North Wales Police say the incident took place between the hours of 11.30am and 4.55pm on Thursday, January 6 in the Bethel area of the town.
A 6-year-old Border Terrier cross Jack Russell named Maisey was stolen as burglars also made off with a 'high value' amount of cash, as well as alcohol.
Officers say a van was seen in the area a few hours before the incident took place.
A statement from NWP Gwynedd South read: "Sometime between the time of 1130hrs - 1655hrs on Thursday the 6th of January 2022, a 6 year old Border Terrier cross Jack Russell 'Maisey' has been stolen along with multiple high value coinage and alcohol. This is following a burglary that occurred at a rural property in the Bethel area, Bala.
"A White Transit type van with distinct reflectors along the both it's sides was seen in the area from approximately 08.30hrs - 09.30hrs.
"We are appealing for any information or any witnesses to any suspicious behaviour to make contact via 101, or use our online webchat facility quoting occurrence reference (22000013585)."
