Police have increased patrols in a Denbighshire town in a bid to deal ‘robustly’ with anti-social behaviour.

Denbigh is currently experiencing incidents of youth anti-social behaviour with Cllr Mark Young saying incidents of vandalism and fireworks have been a concern.

Along with Cllr Rhys Thomas, the town representatives recently met with Sergeant Peter Evans, of North Wales Police.

A spokeswoman for North Wales Police said: "Denbigh is currently experiencing issues around youth-related ASB, with a number of young persons identified from outside the area.

"We have increased our patrols and continue to engage with our partners in dealing with those causing harm in the community.

"Those caught acting in an anti-social or disorderly manner will be dealt with robustly with police intervention, or ultimately formal action."
