NEW research suggests that the North Wales LL postcode is the fifth luckiest in the UK.

The research, conducted by Slingo, analysed the total number of wins across their platforms and Postcode Lottery statistics to find out which areas have the most wins.

The research ranks the LL postcode fifth, and attributes it to Llandudno and a population of 537,467.

But the LL postcode actually covers Denbighshire, Conwy, Gwynedd, Anglesey, Wrexham, and some parts of Flintshire.

The luckiest postcodes in the UK:

Rank, Postcode, Wins, Population Wins per 100,000 people

1 EX (Exeter), 454, 547,511, 82.9

2 TF (Telford), 175, 212,061, 82.5

4 DL (Darlington), 279,, 360,975, 77.3

5 LL (Llandudno), 415, 537,467, 77.2

Telford ranks second with 82.5 postcode lottery wins per 100,000 people, followed by Shrewsbury who rounds off the top three with 78.9 lottery wins respectively.
