WHAT a goal-den start it has been to the new Tillwise Summer League season.

Back for the first time since 2019, there has already been three rounds of matches, with unbeaten Llanrhaeadr leading the way at this early stage.

Nantglyn are hot on their heels, level on seven points, with the likes of Cefn, Henllan and Llandyrnog just a point back.

It promises to be a close and exciting race for the championship over the next couple of months - and goals aren't likely to be an issue!

In the first 18 games of the campaign, 83 goals have been scored, an average of more more than four-per-match.

Jake Walker is the leading scorer so far with five, all of which came during Cefn's 8-0 opening night victory over 2019 champions Llangynhafal.

For the fortnight after this, matches will be starting at 7pm.
