TRIBAN Festival has announced the full line-up for the biggest reunion of the century.
With the Urdd celebrating its centenary, the festival will look back at the past century as it looks to the future, and it will give members past and present an opportunity to come together to celebrate on the Maes at the Urdd Eisteddfod in Denbighshire.
This year's Eisteddfod takes place in Denbigh and the festival is being held from June 2-4, providing a line-up that will appeal to a wide audience of all ages.
Bands will be playing contemporary classics as well as the old favourites, and a few familiar names will be visiting the past as part of their performance.
On the Thursday night, Triban Festival will begin with Ni Yw y Byd, with hundreds of Denbighshire’s primary school pupils singing Welsh language classics with Rhys Taylor and the band.
Then, there will be a special show by Cabarela with eight former Urdd members who have a bone to pick with the judges after missing out on the pavilion stage!

It will be a night of singing and laughter with the Cabarela crew, as they share memories of competing in the Eisteddfod in their own unique and mischievous style.
On the Friday night, on the Sgubor stage, Yws Gwynedd, Tara Bandito, Gwilym and Ciwb will be closing the evening, with Bwncath and Mellt performing on the Arddorfa stage.
During the day, there will be a live comedy set by Mel Owen, a special Young Talwrn poetry competition, a live recording of the Ysbeidiau Heulog podcast looking back at Urdd memories, and a congregational jamboree with Dilwyn Price and the band singing old favourites such as Gwyliau yn y Caribî, and Gwena.
On the Saturday night, there will be a taste of nostalgia on the Sgubor stage, with Eden, Y Cledrau, Delwyn Sion and Tecwyn Ifan entertaining the crowd.
In the meantime, on the Arddorfa stage, Adwaith, N’famady Koyuate, Eädyth and Izzy will be providing a host of contemporary music.
Current and former Urdd members will have an opportunity to reminisce throughout the weekend.
As well as the bands, there will be a big Twmpath in the barn as they used to be held in the past, with the big Urdd quiz testing former members’ knowledge of the Urdd, and there will be an opportunity to glamp in tents just as they did at Llangrannog summer camp – but with a little more style.
Siân Eirian, director of the Eisteddfod and the arts at the Urdd, said: “As the Urdd celebrates our centenary, this is our way of thanking each volunteer and member that has supported the organisation.
"I hope that every past member, swog and leader will come over to the Urdd Eisteddfod in June to celebrate with us, and to reminisce about the last century as we look to the future.
"When Dilwyn and I held our first jamboree in Rhyl in 1998, we never imagined we’d be back together hosting another one on the Maes in 2022!
"Triban Festival is an exciting development for us, and an opportunity to celebrate all aspects of Welsh culture providing a treat for all ages."
Joining the public line-up there will also be special guests appearing on the three Triban Festival stages over the bank holiday in June.
And, like the Urdd Eisteddfod, Triban Festival is free for all, thanks to the support of the Welsh Government.
