A MAN from a village in Anglesey has been handed a fine and driving ban after he was found guilty of drug-driving.
Dewi Hughes, 32, of Water Street, Llanerchymedd, was driving a Seat vehicle on the A487 in Bangor with 5.1 micrograms of Delta-9-tetrahydrocannabinol (THC - the cannabinoid molecule in marijuana) per litre of blood.
This was on February 4.
Mr Hughes pleaded guilty to the offence at Llandudno Magistrates’ Court on May 11.

He was fined £120, and ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £34, and costs to the Crown Prosecution Service of £85.
This amounted to a total of £239, of which Mr Hughes was ordered to pay £25 per fortnight, commencing May 31.
An application was also made for deductions from his benefits.
He was also disqualified from holding or obtaining a driving licence for 12 months.
