WELL, the sun has been absent as they Urdd Eisteddfod in Denbigh gets underway!
It's been a somewhat rainy and gloomy day in the Vale of Clwyd, but this hasn't stopped people from turning out on the Maes in force.
Competition started at 9am on Monday on the three main stages at this year's event, while the main event was the announcement of the winner of the composer's medal.
Entry to the Eisteddfod is free of charge, with pre-booked online tickets.
Meanwhile, a shuttle bus service has been arranged to transport people parking in Denbigh town centre over to the Eisteddfod yr Urdd Maes, completely free of charge.
The bus service is in addition to the official parking arranged by the Urdd next to the Maes, which can be found off Whitchurch Road towards the Llandyrnog direction.
The bus service will run from Monday, May 30 until Saturday, June 4, starting at Lenten Pool, Denbigh at 8.15am.
It will operate every half-an-hour, travelling along Vale Street and Ruthin Road to the Maes and calling at all bus stops along the way.

The last bus will leave Lenten Pool at 6.45pm on the Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday.
Additional buses will operate on the Thursday, Friday and Saturday, to accommodate people attending Gwyl Triban on the Maes.
The last bus will leave Lenten Pool at 8.15pm.
The last scheduled bus will leave the Maes on the Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday at 7pm, departing at 10.30pm on the Thursday, Friday and Saturday.
