RUTHIN Farmers' Auction reports sales of 266 prime lambs to £159 / 391.9ppk; 322 prime hoggets to £146 / 294ppk and 307 ewes to £185.

Prime lambs (auctioneer-Rich Lloyd):

Increased entries weekly, now 226 prime lambs forward on the day.
Well fought penside and a very good trade.

SQQ was 244.5ppk with some toppers as follows:

At the sale, 31 lights averaged 323ppk.

Meanwhile, 804 standards to 334ppk and 703 mediums average weight of 41.2kg stealing the show at 339ppk.
