NEWCIS (North East Wales Carers Information Service) will mark Carers Week with the Big Wellbeing Event this June.

After two consecutive years of online celebrations due to the pandemic, NEWCIS are proudly working in partnership with Outside Lives Ltd. on the event.

Hosted at the stunning Soughton Hall in Flintshire, the event will be a free fun-packed day with an extensive range of practitioners, therapists, trades and interactive workshops and consultations, and will also offer refreshments.

The perfect opportunity for unpaid carers to explore new wellbeing practices and go away feeling recharged, NEWCIS are also encouraging carers to get involved with Carers Week in other ways, such as fundraising at local supermarkets, group walks around local areas of scenery, carer support groups and online information sessions.

NEWCIS is funded by Flintshire County Council, Denbighshire County Council and Wrexham County Borough Council – all of whom are supporting NEWCIS and Carers Week in their own right.

Claire Sullivan, CEO at NEWCIS, says: “NEWCIS is delighted to be hosting so many events this week to celebrate Carers Week, working with partners across the region.

“We are looking forward to seeing carers at these events which will have lots of information available for them as well as activities.

“Carers are facing many challenges at the moment so I hope that NEWCIS Carers Week can offer support and enjoyment to all that attend.”

Booking in advance is required – go to www.newcis.org.uk/big-wellbeing-day/ or call NEWCIS on 01352 752525.
